Are you shopping for a graduation party, a wedding, maybe a bridal shower or just need to freshen up your wardrobe for the season, whatever the occasion this is a great time to shop? The stores are full of a great variety of colors and styles, I am sure you will find something you will love.
How to Prepare Your Wardrobe for Spring
Here are a few tips for shopping in style this spring to ensure you look your best at work:
*Pink is one of the hottest colors this season, but remember if this is not your best color beware of choosing it. Just because it is the hottest color doesn’t mean it is for you. So choose wisely. Pick colors that are fun and look good on you.
*I have seen bubble skirts, long skirts, pencil skirts and so many other fun dresses for the spring and summer I am sure you will find one that suits your style the best. I encourage you to try clothes on in the store this way it will save you from taking them back and you can try on a variety of styles while you’re there.
*Let’s talk about shoes for a minute; there are some great styles out and fun for everyone. Wedges are big and cute this year but beware some of them are very high so make sure your feet are able to support the height. They also have other shapes and styles for everyone’s taste. Have fun with the styles and try something new.
*Another thing to remember when shopping, is try to stay in your color palette, pick a couple of colors you would like to work with this season and mix and match as much as you can, you will get a whole lot more out of your wardrobe than just one outfit or two. Make sure you think things through before purchasing.
*One other tip I can give you is shop in your age group not your daughters. What your daughter wears is not what you should be wearing. Sorry ladies we need to grow up sometime. I know it is hard when you like the style and fit, but if you look a little harder you may be surprised to find it in your section of clothes.
Transform Your Spring Wardrobe
If you are one that likes change you will love transforming your wardrobe up. I find the best place to learn how to put things together are the magazines; take a look at In Style, Glamour and other magazines that show you ways to interchange your outfits. I rip out pages and post them on my wall or take them shopping with you to recreate the style you like. Make sure you can make more than one outfit out of your purchase, you will be much happier when you can do more than one look with what you buy.
A note about spring make-up! Make-up for the spring and summer is always big so when you are at the stores or getting your hair done ask what are the hot colors this season. As seasons change so do our clothes and make-up.
